Have been enjoying them, recently downsized my 2 channel listening gear and went with the KEF LS50 Metas and the KEF KC62 Subwoofer, they work very well in the space I have 👌 You have KEF’s as well ?

I came to Victoria in 1974 to live with my mother after my father’s suicide, was tough going for many years, but this is what gives us the stories and memories to reflect on.
There’s always a story, after 50 yrs in Victoria you seem to accumulate a few 😉
I almost always grow something, but other than my reoccurrings that require nothing from me other than a little water, nothing (will resolve this next year).
I will keep this in mind, I didn’t grow anything this year and seeing so many posts of bountiful gardens has me rethinking this years missed opportunity.
I spent a lot of time here in my youth and always gave it the respect it deserves, the same as we did for the Ross Bay cemetery. I won’t elaborate on why a 1/2 dozen teens were hanging out there at 3am on the regular but suffice it to say we did discuss history a lot.

I have 5 kids, only one remains in Victoria as the rents are out reach here as well.
Kids (9 yr olds incl.) kick my ass at most video games, but put a real world touch required into a game and I can hold my own, Darts, Bocce, Bean Bag Toss etc.
I never heard of this game being called Corn Hole, although this Bean Bag Toss is played regularly by us when camping. I’ve never seen a win a good as that one before.

I felt only 1 day this summer where I was warm enough to ride around at night in a t-shirt on my motorcycle, generally don’t as a safety issue but last Saturday night was that night.
Always seems to feel that way unfortunately. Hopefully we’ll get one of those last blasts of warm summery weather in September.

I like the styling of the Classic, will test ride the 650 when it finally arrives here (West Coast Canada) unfortunately that looks like December now. I really like my wife’s 350 Custom, but would like more power than that.
Definitely a different beast, this is 4th Royal Enfield, a himmy, 500 & 350 Classics and now this one. He’s now waiting on a 650 Classic, loves his Enfield’s.

Recently rode a Triumph Speed Twin 1200, might have been the nicest bike I’ve ever ridden, but would have been deadly for my driver’s license with my limited self control.

Wasn’t implying you were buying, just that the value might be there if you bundled a couple of those properties together. I believe the 6 units applies to lots over a certain size, but certainly 3 or 4 units are likely allowed.
Now if you could convince the neighbours to join in you might have something, but otherwise better check with the building department to see what’s allowed on a lot that narrow. House is likely to be valued at land value only.
I’ve been giving a try to smoking salmon over the weekend and according to my work mates I’m already a pro. I think I got lucky, but will confirm with the next few batches.

This is the best way to have me not purchase your product, try to charge me more on an ongoing basis for the product I just purchased. BMW, heated steering is sold to you at cars purchase, but have to pay monthly to activate ….. lost me forever, and any other brand to do this.

Yes, but I’ll vacuum bag and freeze any extra that doesn’t get eaten in the next few days. Vacuum bagged in the freezer will last a couple years.
Yesterday’s fishing Friday was a great success, good friends, coffee made fresh on the boat (a 1st) and limited out with fish. (12 total). Fish processing mostly done, next up, dry brine and prepare the smokers, slowly filling the freezer (bought specifically for this). #FishingFriday #Victoria

Fishing Friday starts for me at 6am tomorrow morning but my boat has a roof so I’m not worried, the heavy rain may keep some of the boats away which would suit me fine.
The ground will like the rain and the sound of rain while falling asleep is nice, I’ll take it for the short term.

Off season my wife and I would get a small single cabin at Point No Point, likely expensive in the summer season but a hot tub on your own private deck when it’s windy and you can hear the surf pounding is memory making.

I know the helicopters were pulling from Spider lake for the recent fire in the Qualicum area, perfect tool for that lake, my question really is do we have enough helicopters, skimmers etc to get the job done.
They don’t need to be aircraft the size of Mars, I understand smaller and more nimble,with then a larger assortment of lakes to draw from is a good policy. Hopefully there is enough resource to be effective, do the firefighters have enough water from above ?
Where are the Mars Bombers when you need them, Canada should be building these not buying fighter jets.

This is Murray the shop cat, once the night shift of mouse catching is over she likes a siesta on random wood piles. People always find blankets or towels so she has a comfortable resting spot.
If hotel rooms are part of the impromptu plan then you’re likely right, although I haven’t tested this.
I have a thing for vintage stuff, but had a friend out fishing who is new to it and the old reels require some finesse and knowledge of what to do, I want fishing to be fun for everyone and losing nice big fish isn’t fun for most people. New reel is very simple to use, and yes, is a very big step up

So, after losing a few salmon while fishing last Friday, I decided to upgrade one of my reels from my #vintage 4” #Peetz to a modern #Shimano 4000 GT, Will make fishing a little more productive as the tech has improved a little bit in 70 yrs.
Easy enough to say, “times are tough for me at the moment, I need my $300 back”
🤣 just saying VHS had me accept the quality of the video as it is.
