How I prep: Got some small dungeon locations and places that random wilderness encounters can lead to for the weekend.
Most OSR monster I've ever heard of
Worked in the movie Spellbound as an intern and junior artist in 2016. Met amazing people there, but it was an absolute nightmare that destroyed my mental, making me thing my work was not worth, even making me clean up the senior's drawings for a while. They didn't include me in the credits. Thanks!

Hehe yeah this is drawn on one of those giant chessex vinyl mats so I might need a lot of tape. Don’t mind it though, might do that. Or post-its.

That’s probably the best idea. Give them an almost blank map at the start, with just the nearest, known locations marked. And then they can spend some gold on a world map when they reach the first proper city. And that’s this.
Perhaps it’s fine to have their map like this just without labels and POIs…
Also I’m fully aware that that peninsula looks like a dick. (Penisula?)
I spent way too long making this table version of my hex map only to realize, hang on, shouldn’t the players’ map be completely blank? Damn. Maybe I can figure out a way to make physical fog of war for the players to remove as they go? Ideas?

Prerolling wilderness encounters for a short OSE campaign and I've forgotten about the kind of game you get when you roll "21 stirges", "16 gnolls", "40 orcs" or "a giant roc" for your poor level 1 PCs. Gonna put faith in those reaction/distance rolls and player decisions.
This panel was super fun. Just spending an hour talking about making this game and how a community formed around it. It’s about releasing a game during the pandemic, encouraging community participation, making an open license and being approached by incredible creators for collabs. What a ride.
Nothing beats coming home from a trip to have to cancel and refund 15 US orders because of Trump and his stupid fucking tariffs.

We're reopening Kartellian Vaults, our US-based store, any day now. It's not as well-stocked as Pit Trap Shop, but that will change. I just worry about the games industry when we can no longer sell to the US, where most of the buyers are, without going through hoops and setting up US operations.
Over half of my sales in Pit Trap Shop, my web shop that helps keep the lights on here, are from US customers. So it pains me to say this: If you're American, I strongly recommend that you do NOT buy from me anymore, since you'll be hit with extra fees of possibly hundreds of dollars.
Horrible news. Bud was a wonderful human being and I always treasured our meetings at conventions. I will miss him.
