i want to confront people in these situations but i’m not gonna yell at men late at night at the place that i live because if you are already letting your clearly untrained dog run around like the world is their backyard then i doubt it’s gonna go great

the epidemic of people at my apartment complex just letting their dogs off leash run ahead of them out the doors of the building is fucking absurd. why is your big dog sprinting toward my dog with you nowhere in sight? and when you finally come down the stairs you’re holding a fucking leash?

TT can be a great platform for storytelling, wonderful place for finding someone’s feed and watching their life story in 15 parts. it’s fucking awful for discourse. awful. and the imbalance between vulnerability of creators and anonymity of posters is worse than most places.
so in some ways a Main Character of the Day on tiktok can be so sequestered you would never see it, or it can feel like the only thing anyone is talking about because the algorithm *loves* to feed you more of what you engaged with a minute ago.
one thing that sucks about tiktok is that unlike a chronological microblogging site, conflict and topics can get rehashed for… a very long time. your FYP will show you stuff from several weeks ago. conversations that pass in a day or two here may be a live grenade for more than a week.
the conversation about that T.L. wired piece came and went pretty quickly here but it’s pretty upsetting the degree to which it’s caused chaos and targeted harassment on tiktok and other apps and led to accusations of being a paid shill by any left leaning person taking issue with it
fsu did a lot right in this game but after having their defense on the field for 10 minutes to start, you go 3 and out, bama scores the next drive and you’re in a 14-0 hole? very different ball game. so many winning opportunities you expect a bama team to take and they didn’t
