Why would a republican vote for republican lite when they can get the "real" thing? Also, moving to the right causes registered democrats to sit out. You lose on both fronts. It's stupid. When I saw Liz Cheney on the campaign trail with Harris, I lost all hope. Harris didn't really run on anything.

In my view, if they're not in the progressive wing of the party, they're either moderates or a closet republican.
