She was a VP for years beforehand, no record of her wanting to go after trans people. Even her VP pick was extremely pro LGBT+ rights. People are reading a headline and jumping on it, exactly what a lot on the right do.
I agree that two-party systems never help anyone but I don't feel LGBT+ people would be worse off, they'd be a hell of a lot safer right now. A lot of those on the farther side of left seek perfection, anything they don't like disqualifies someone. That isn't the real world.
These perfectionist chose to not vote for her and now you've ended up with a modern day Hitler that is stripping rights away on a scale never before seen. You cannot possibly believe she would have been worse.
We're reaching a point now where we expect candidates to be angelic perfection sent from above, which is unrealistic. We'll never move forward if we demand something that is unattainable.
Has anyone read the article or even the book? I agree that some language is not right, but she categorically stated she would never turn on the trans community. You can't pick one part and ignore the rest.
