Don't forget with Farage, BBC, Starmer,Tories et al, racism is not the end. It's the means by which they ensure corporate takeover of public life. It will ensure deregulation and stripping of peoples rights. Reveal their vested interests, don't just get lost in their smoke and mirrors.

Exactly. I've said this for years.

People need to stop lamenting that the @bbc @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social has fallen and is a mouthpiece for the far right and instead identify why it seeks it's own demise and make public the vested interests driving this platforming of Farage and far right talking points.

Because increasing house prices increases the wealth of banks without any risk to banks nor does it contribute to GDP. They aren't creating more home owners just saddling more people with greater debt. They need to build and invest in homes. That would stimulate economy and increase home ownership.

Tax reform is only part of the solution,we need banking reform. Until that occurs, we'll still have the upwards distribution of wealth from poor to the rich.
Jason (@nottheargonaut.bsky.social) reply parent
We need to reform the financial and banking systems. Stop privatisation and the transfer of government/public debt to private debt. It's always the poor who carry the most risk. Banks need to give credit for public infrastructure works, not to increase housing inflation. That doesn't increase GDP.
