I once, quite recently, had someone tell myself and a co-worker we take our job too seriously. I was dumbfounded. Still am.
Things I didn't miss with the woods closed - ATV's and Side by Sides racing out my road to get to the woods. They must have just been waiting for 4:00. 🙄 Be great if they would just drive responsibly.
Honestly, the rest of the world is just waiting on true USA folk to rise up and take their country back. It's unbelievable that your military, your population and your politicians are allowing this to happen. The people have the power, they need to use it. It's your country not his golf course.
My son has never given me a moments worry, however for the first time in his 29 years he's not home when I am ready for bed. He's at Chester Race Week events. Dammit here I am waiting for my 29 year old and his significant other to get home. Night driving out here can be very sketchy 😬.

Husband doesn't mind it either really. He drives downtown Halifax for a living so not much he hasn't seen.
We did the Parliament Tour as well. Before we left I reached to to Geoff Regan, who was the speaker at that time. He had his assistant give us a private tour. It was amazing. The library brought me to tears, so beautiful. It's such an experience. If they still have the light show, it's a must do.
Lol! Husband said he would never complain about Halifax traffic again after dealing with Montreal. That lasted until we hit the 102 on our way home. Enjoy! Ottawa is another favourite spot for us as well!

We'd always been nervous to go based on what folks told us. But none of it was true, I speak limited French - understand it all but speaking meh, kept mixing my French and Spanish - true rookie. Husband speaks zero of either. As soon as they heard English, they were all over it, every place we went.
2655 kms for our latest Canadian road trip. 3 provinces, multiple destinations and a few bucket list items. Montreal you were awesome!
I am in Glen Haven, a little closer to the ocean than Hubley and no we don't get it often. Hubley would be even less. This year we've had zero summer fog.
Their bike lanes are exceptional. Five bikes across, completely full. They even have bike lights at the intersections. Would have been great if folks had actually paid attention to them. We saw more than one pedestrian almost get nailed. The infrastructure is fantastic though.
I have never seen as many cyclists in my life as I did in old Montreal. The bike lanes were jammed full. Much like the drivers thought these cyclists are just down right crazy. Lights, pedestrians, buses be dammed, they just keep going. It was a bit scary to watch at times tbh. No helmets 😬
First leg of our vacation booked. Never stayed in Edmundston before, so why not give it a go! From there who knows where we'll end up. The adventure begins!

I will never understand people who go to a store 5 minutes before it closes, hear all the pages about closing but think it doesn't apply to them. You know what, the folks working there have been on their feet for hours. Walk a minute in their shoes. How would you feel?
Deciding vacation this year is hard. 😣 We've been all over the Atlantic Provinces, Ontario and Quebec. Alberta is a no right now. BC is too expensive and he wants to wait until we retire for the UK, Ireland or Europe. Looking like a throw the bags in the vehicle and see where we end up vacation. 🤷🏻♀️

I got my first one a few months ago. I have always wanted one but was never truly inspired until my 18 year old Missy died. I talked to a lot of people who already had tattoos about their experiences and decided on a local artist. We messaged for a bit then worked together to come up with this.
I don't mind them at appropriate times on special occasions. But if folks are having them outside the norm, notice is appreciated. If we can prepare, that shows you care.

Where I live there is lots within walking or biking distance. The Post Office is a 20 minute walk. Closest cafe, 2 minutes. Marina and Yacht Club, 10 minutes. Tim's is an hour walk but if I am going that far, I plan multiple stops so I need my vehicle. E-bikes are very popular out here as well.
You need to find the right burb. I grew up in West End Halifax, moved to Dartmouth and then Tantallon. Tantallon has grown exponentially since we moved here. Not much we don't have access to within minutes while still keeping a sense of a small community. I love watching the birds on our property!

I can honestly say we have never done that, and I wouldn't period. Because someone may not be right for one area, doesn't mean they aren't a good fit elsewhere. That's why we ask questions and try to get a feel for the applicant.

As someone in retail who hires a lot of teens, applying online is great but he should also go in. I get a lot of resumes, but when people come in and I (or my people) have a chance to talk with the person it makes a world of difference. You get a vibe for where they might fit in.
Honestly, this is why I will never do automatic payment with any business. I am one of the comprised accounts. The only thing that concerns me is I have a financed heat pump, so my SIN is on file for a credit check.

My Dad was 26 when he had his first heart attack followed by a stroke. My Mom was 40 when someone told her to take aspirin for her heart attack, made it significantly worse. I was 21 the first time I had to wear a monitor. When it comes to the heart everyone is different. Listen to your body.

Stay away from the CPC. They are MAGA of the north. I would love to see the NDP and PC (not CPC) rebuild to give us a viable choice, where we don't have to do strategic voting. I want to vote for my riding without the worry that leaves a nut job in charge of the country.
I used to walk the 333 daily. From the crossroads to my home was just over 12km return. The number of scary drivers I encountered caused me to stop. The number of people who can't drive between the lines, the distracted drivers and those who shouldn't be driving were not worth me risking my life.
But they did. Every person who voted for Trump and all those who chose not to vote, voted for whatever chaos the orange menace delivers. They had an extremely competent and sensible option they voted against (non-votes are always a vote against). Choices have consequences.

I had to talk to a customer in Chinese 🤷🏻♀️ today through a translating app. I would love to learn other languages. Why is it so expensive! I do ASL, some French and Spanish but I would love to be more reflective of my community as a whole.

When we lived in our 100+ year old farm house rental the people who lived upstairs asked us if we had taken their axe. We did not. It showed up two weeks later. The original owner of the house is buried nearby and is said to haunt the house. Freaky!

PP's 'Canada First' is clearly not the same as mine. I am and have pretty much always been a very proud Canadian. We had a few embarrassing years, but we overcame them - as Canadians do. If PP hasn't been putting Canada first all along, who has he been putting first?
All I can say is mine is 32 soon. Sometimes you have to draw a line. It matters in so many ways for their future and personal growth. No lines for grandbabies though, always make sure they have what they need. I don't give money but I will happily buy anything they need.

I have anxiety.I take meds to manage it. Gotta say this week they just haven't been enough. Between losing my Missy, the loneliness of my Lilybit, the anniversary of my father passing and pure craziness at work, it has been a struggle. Here's hoping for a better week to come.

Just got home from a visit to our friendly southern neighbours in the Rivera Maya. Check out these bike lanes in Tulum. Right down the middle of the sidewalk. Bicycle bells are well used here.
I am so sorry you're going through this. It's so hard. When I went through it with my dad, I sent copies of the death certificate for them to talk to, when they wanted permission. That ended things pretty quick. It shouldn't be hard but some companies make it impossible.

Based on these last few months, I am honestly sad for our neighbours to the south who voted for a strong and qualified woman but ended up with this mess. I also feel bad for whomever has to clean up the mess he leaves behind. What a sad state of affairs for the US.
