YESSS HIMMMM there are two versions with different Draculas and otherwise all or mostly the same cast I think (the Jonathan Harker is the same anyway) but I think there are only clips of the other one. That Dracula iirc has more flare. Uwe was definitely kinda wasted as Van Helsing though

The whole concept of overweight makes me tear my hair bc yeah there are people who are unhealthy fat but quite frankly most of the people I know who get called overweight are FINE AND GOOD ACTUALLY and when it gets in the way of healthcare— I scream. That’s just awful. Thin does not equal healthy!

It’s awful. It’s awful for everyone. I’ve been told to my face by non-mom people that they “wish they had my problem.” And I get it. Society is cruel to fat people! It’s bad! But the absolute invalidation from everyone from community members to doctors to my mother is A Lot.

The weird part is how hurtful even things intended to be kind and reassuring can be. Compliments suck when the thing you’re being complimented on is actually hurting you. When the thing people admire is because you are sick. And you feel bad being mad about it bc the person saying it is being nice
Oh nooo mom! I got told not to put too much butter on things when I was a SKINNY KID. My mom never told me to lose weight, but watching her diet and judge herself definitely affected me. Now my metabolism is still pretty fast AND I have a limited diet bc health and she *can’t* see how that’s bad!

The wildest part is that I know she’s trying to be nice! She’s just so steeped in her own self judgment and decades long fight to lose weight that it’s completely warped her ability to understand when I try to express my frustration. She says such mean things to *herself* I hate what’s done to her

Oh I totally agree. I am not at all saying not to be mad about changes. Goodness knows I’ve raged about plenty of terrible adaptations of things I love! I just think there’s an important distinction between “they made a change that’s bad writing/inaccurate to the source” and “the director is LYING”
