Health Minister, Wes Streeting, is top of the league for MPs taking donations from private health firms. It’s a conflict of interest big enough to see from space. Streeting cares nothing for our NHS or its staff. What is Labour playing at?

Sprinklers have their drawbacks, I’ve had a prostatectomy so I now sit as I never quite know when I’ve finished.
Starmer is tinkering around the edges doing nothing to undo the damage already done, the framework is still in place. Just because he has taken his foot off the accelerator doesn’t mean the car isn’t still going in the wrong direction.
Already privatised include cleaning, catering, portering, maintenance, security, imaging, secretarial, transport, pathology, it may not be expanding as fast but it is not shrinking. All with parallel lines of management checking & negotiating contracts with shareholders and executives to pay.
No one to help think outside the box.

I like to have a the radio playing and bit of slow TV on in background as I potter around doing my chores. The other day I found a 8 hour road trip from Denver to Salt Lake City. It really brought home how huge and empty the country is. The communities are far apart, no wonder they are so insular.

Thatcher invented the NHS internal market. Major made it law. Blair and Brown implemented it with added PFI. The Tories put it on steroids and hid it behind the ‘NHS’ logo. Starmer is doing more of the same. The internal market and profit incentive needs to be stripped out.
Vast tracts of the NHS are already privatised, it’s all hidden behind the NHS logo.
A stronger case for why D.C. should become a state has never been made. Trump’s seizure of power today is based on false pretext and is meant to distract from Epstein. But it has real consequences. The people of D.C. should not be ruled by a tyrant. This is intimidation without representation.
The same way we were told by Starmer apologists that they knew stuff from his island of strangers speech that we didn’t know, hence why we didn’t understand what he was saying..
As we watch Keir Starmer and his team expand NHS privatisation, please remember that he was elected to become Labour leader saying specifically that he would remove NHS private outsourcing. He then quietly dropped this pledge in Summer 2022. This isn’t OK 🚨

This track will always remind me of a firework display I saw in Victoria Park, East London. They had built a huge replica of the Houses of Parliament and set it on fire to this music. Such culture and sensitivity.

The Minister for Homelessness is a landlord - and she just evicted her tenants, tried to charge them >£2,000 in illegal fees, then re-listed the property weeks later for £700 more. The same Minister who claims to fight for renters’ rights. You couldn’t make it up. 🧵
