Clearly a lot of money has been thrown at this. Pumps, bar mats, glasses etc.
I mean why wouldn't you. Second cask at The Fox & Pine. Fortunately they will never replicate that smell.

Pub #84 The White Hart, Lydgate. Pub, Restaurant, Hotel and Venue. Winner of many awards. Incredible food and decent cask ales. The one that does it all. Picture borrowed from the website.

The artwork for the Oldham Bar Hop is brilliant. Good to see a lot of new faces in town today. Billingtons and The Ashton Arms both very busy.
Pub #83. The Colliers Arms. Despite driving past this place many times, and even visiting a few times, I never realised how big its beer garden was. Visited on a Saturday lunchtime and a Baby Shower was in full swing. No cask though so, Guinness.
Any excuse for a pint in Oldham. Should be a good weekend.
Not Oldham, but sat in The Sheep & Penguin in Wells. What a rescue job. Shut pubs don't always stay shut.
Thought the Highfield #11 had seen sense and started selling cask again, then realised it was Cash is King! Not Cask.
The more you brew the cheaper it can get though. Its sad to see Jaipur on a £1.79 though. What a beer that was.
I would imagine they can't, but if there wasn't anything in it, why would they sell to Spoons?

Watching Loyle Carner on the iplayer, but it was quite the effort. People are complaining about the 1975 headlining but there will be no shortage of simpletons at the main stage. How fo they even work the website to get tickets?

The Council have backed the Cob in the past but there's a lot of mistrust over this new market.
The Market is closing and moving to a new development. They have put in an offer for the pub but didn't get a space. Oldham want to run the bars themselves as there's a performance space. Don't think they have considered how many people visit Oldham for the Cob and The Fox.
Sad day today as a small but very important part of Oldham's beer scene closes. Very short sighted decision by Oldham Council. Long Live The Cob & Coal. Pub #18.
Buy one get one half price at the local CO OP. Had quite a few recently, a real classic.
Avoided it myself for some time (as with most GK pubs) but my son wanted to go in and see it. Good pint of Theakston OP and a chat with the locals. Been back in a few times since.

Pub #82 The Dog Inn. A survivor pub having been "tinned up" at one point. Lots of live music in the large bar room. Three empty handpumps but Theakstons Mild on draught.
Rude not to.
Pub #81 Boarhurst Band Club. Have been very busy recently but I still have a backlog of Oldham Pubs to get through. I never post live as the spelling and grammar would be atrocious. Here for the beer festival last year. Good to see venues like this thriving.
Saw one over the moors Rossendale way last week. They do well in North Yorkshire but never seen one in Lancashire before.

On a similar note... Pub #7 Fox & Pine. Fit to burst, fortunately there's enough beer and pastry goods to go round.
Once again every seat taken in Pub #6 The Ashton Arms. Good to see. Pictish, Millstone and Saltaire on cask.
Pub #80 Dobcross Band & Social Club. Locally and nationally recognised by Camra. Visited last year for a beer festival. Home to bands, bowling and a whole host of community activities.
Do I save this for the apocalypse or drink it now. But yeah everything is not OK.
Tried it once at Beer Nouveau but it was too late into the evening to fully appreciate.

Pub #79 Angel Inn Lees. Once feared lost after the family that ran it called it a day. Saved by staff and owner of The Red Lion and given a full makeover. Lively pub, busy on my visit with a good mix of patrons. Very fizzy Reliance Pale ale, no cask.
He was filming the Curious Life film which became a film about Jeremy more than the Levellers. So he toured with them I remember someone saying it was indulgent singing his own song I was like really.
Aldi tried to copy it but thankfully they still sell the original. A classic beer.
Saw Dumston ding this with the Levellers at The Leadmill. Took the roof of the place 🫵
Many years ago I would finish work at Ena Mill at 10 o'clock run to the Bluebell grab a pint and still make the half ten train to Manchester. Now a vets surgery.
A pint in The Lion, Atherton. Last time I was in here I had just finished a first aid course at Ena Mill. So some time around 1992.

I was walking down to the Boat and Horses for yet another leaving drinks. Worked in Chadderton for years. We used to go to Owd Tatts on Friday, when we were on Fields New Road.

Bought for a @beernouveau.co.uk bottle share that never happened. Was down for a New Year beer but I was hungover. It's very very pleasant. #BskyBeer

Pub #74 The Royal George. Greenfield Almost in Tameside a refurbished Lees pub with a selection of cask beers. Happy New Year. This year's resolutions, remember to take a picture of the pub every time and remember to post more often.
It was confusing me, as we went up Ripponden Road it was getting brighter. Complete opposite of yesterday.

Pub #73 The Spinners Arms, Springhead. Lees pub tucked away on a quiet lane. Usual Lees food menus. Boilerhouse pale on cask.

Revisit pub #7 The Ashton Arms. Best Espresso Martini in Oldham. 2 for £10. The cask is on point as always.

Pub #72 Three Crowns, Austerlands Large roadside inn and another band contest regular. Recently taken over by the team behind the nearby Spinners. So expect good things. Pint of Landlord on cask.
End of yesterday's walk from Uppermill to Newhey. The Bird In Hand. Known locally as the top bird as there is another Bird in Hand (sadly closed) a very short walk away on the same road. Not an Oldham pub but pleasant enough with a real fire and friendly locals. Sam Smiths pub so yeah.
Revisit to Pub #10 The Junction Denshaw. Pint of Lees MPA. Called in for a pit stop on yesterday's walk.
Inspecting the contents of my delivert to make sure all is in good order.
Pub #71 The Kings Arms, Grains Bar. Perilously close to the Yerkshire border. This foody pub has cask and keg options. I certainly wouldn't expect to see @LaineBrewCo up here. It tends to look closed as the entrance is round the back.
Going to carry on were I was on Twitter and may e revisit some of the pubs rather than start over....
