“ the president ought to know better” Why would you think this president would know better? As General Kelly, his former chief of staff said , “A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about”

What if the problem is the voters and not the Democrats? 70% of voters who followed news voted for Harris while 54% of those who followed no news voted for Trump . Stop blaming Democrats for the reckless behavior of the voters .

In order to have Good messaging, you have to have a receptive audience that’s been gone for decades now. Things have to get extremely bad before people listen.

Some some do, some don’t. They’re only reacting to what their voters are telling them as opposed to what Republicans did to Liz Cheney, who was insufficiently servile too the Dear Leader

It is the voters fault. The fall for culture war issues while refusing to educate themselves about things that are important to them. The media is also important because to help educate voters is boring. It’s much easier to talk about pronouns.

True Why do people keep voting for it? Because they don’t think.

And voters aren’t doing any more to educate themselves. You can say the “Democratic Party brand”, but few voters have any idea what that means. There is a reason why 70% of those who followed the news voted for Biden or Harris and 54% of those who follow NO news at all voted for Trump.

Friends like who? My point is that the parties are very different. We used to have a chunk of the Republican Party, who would vote with Democrats…. that’s gone. The media has become, to quote Christian Amanpour neutral, “not truthful”… 1/

That’s true. You have to have the votes. FDR and LBJ had 69 and 68 Senators and STILL needed Republican votes for Social Security, Medicare, Civil and Voting Rights Acts... None of which would likely pass today.

This is true on the other hand you have to have the votes. Democrats have not had the votes in Congress since LBJ. 1/

I think most Democrats are serious. I agree most Americans think it can’t happen here and that’s why they don’t respond to Democrats, who say it can can indeed happen here.

I agree 100%. People don’t realize how receptive low information voters are to a messages like: “ we will lower your taxes. Ask nothing of you as citizens and hate all the same people you hate..”

Voters have got to smarten up and stop listening to meaningless bumper, stickers and slogans and use a little critical thinking or they’re always always gonna get screwed by Republicans. 2/

I remember when moving to the left mean supporting the public option until the right told them they were going to be death panels and support went from 70% to 40%. 1/

It was the voter’s fault that that’s exactly what they wanted. They bought into the right wing. “Democrats are bad for business and therefore bad for jobs and only there to give welfare to people who don’t want to work and you need business men to run the country” schtick… 1/
