I may not be the biggest fan of box stores - but I know they’re something of a necessary evil at this point. Yet the fact that WalMart is offering a shopping alternative for those who struggle with sensory overload / various triggers / overstimulation makes my heart happy 💕

It can be hard (especially when suffering) to remember there is goodness in the world. That sometimes people act in anger because that is all they have known. So much darkness comes from fear. We should always seek first to understand. A survivor of the Shoah taught me that.
(And just to be clear - every Jewish person I know is vehemently against Netanyahu and his bloodthirsty bullshit)
Don’t get it twisted - they will destroy our people as soon as we outlive our usefulness. May all of the war criminals be held accountable for their atrocities - including assholes like Trump who fund war crimes.

At my old apartment I used to have a crow friend (called Bigsby) who would come visit and bring me little trinkets he found in exchange for fruits, nuts and some meat. Haven’t seen him since I moved. I still think about him - Bigsby, wherever you are I hope you are having an excellent life!

This hit me hard. Totally agree. Even shows / movies of “Gay Joy” were littered with sorrow or caricature (looking at you L Word, Queer as Folk, Will & Grace etc) Now, we have Love Victor, Heartstopper, Red, White & Royal Blue to name just three. Our trauma is important - but we are so much more.
