What a sad day! How we got here is nothing more than a need to study in the future. Every closure of a hospital, farm closing, lack of innovation and research for cancer and disease, and people who have to bankrupt out of healthcare debt, needs to be recorded for the next generation to learn from.

I happen to be a mid life crisis baby of parents who were born in 20’s. My mother was left alone with 4 younger siblings n 1935 after her father died, she talked often of what starving felt like! She and younger siblings picked cotton, foraged, and scrounged a lot for food. Think I got this!

It really needs to come to rural schools. No funds for updated learning materials, mandated upgrades, etc. My wife has worked at a school for 4 years now, she makes less than fast food starting wages! She is an intervention and special education aide who is frequently tasked with teacher subbing.
