Polar plunge Polar bear Nora loves to dive, so care staff came up with a way to safely place a camera at the bottom of her pool to watch her underwater. Beary cool!

Baby Tula-Tu ventured outside for the first time yesterday, when she and mom Rose-Tu spent time in a behind-the-scenes outdoor area. It might be a while before Rose shows Tula the larger, public-facing outdoor spaces of Elephant Lands, but visitors can still greet the new arrival inside Forest Hall!

Goat milk? Amur tiger brothers Luka and Dmitri paws to enjoy some frozen goat milk. They have very rough tonguesβpurrfect for licking meat off the bone or enjoying a frosty treat!

The fox arrived at the zoo last week from the Bird Alliance of Oregon, which had been caring for her since mid-October. Staff there determined she had been kept as a pet, which is illegal in Oregon. Because of her upbringing, she would not be able to survive in the wild.

A young arctic fox, who was found wandering in southwest Portland last month, has temporarily moved in behind the scenes before she heads to her new home in Wisconsin.

Lincoln was found strandedβrescuers from @montereyaq.bsky.social estimated he was less than 2 weeks old at the time. Unable to be paired with a surrogate mom, he was deemed non-releasable by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and moved to his home at the Oregon Zoo to reign as the Prince of Sea Pups
