It's because we're the only platform with real people who won't hijack the comments to shill crypto or praise Hitler. So they have to grit their teeth and bear it. At the same time, they can't just come out and say that since they're being paid by the guys running the crypto-and-Hitler sites.

Anger is good business. Fear is good business. Showing people things designed to piss them off or, conversely, make them fear the other side is good business. The end result is a generation of people angry at a world that largely exists only in their head and lacking a support structure.
Over the span of a decade this created multiple "fandoms" that often didn't get along. Anger is good for business so no body made any *serious* attempts at getting things to quiet down. On top of this we have social-media algorithms designed to maximize engagement at the cost of all else.
It's a compelling format, to be sure. But Kirk and others realized it could be used to generate intensely-motivated and fiercely-loyal groups of fans. These fans could then be leveraged for money and political power.
Charlie Kirk was, among other things, very much a part of driving this development in society. He was one of the first to realize you could make crazy money by arguing with random college students and then posting the least-prepared and most awkward responses on YouTube as "Leftist Destroyed!!!!"
fwiw I'm not sure we'll be able to pin down a coherent ideology for this shooter. Like the Trump shooter or the MN school church shooter, we're living in an era of incoherent, violent nihilism. People are being radicalized inside algorithm-driven personal realities.
This poster has a similar tone. He'll wax lyrical about how much he hates political violence. But he'll always be sure to remind everyone that the Left started it and deserves what's coming their way. A veneer of politeness is maintained but even that drops pretty quickly when he gets heated.
In certain churches you can hear people putting on exaggerated "more-in-sorrow-than-in-anger" tones when discussing all those filthy sinners burning in Hell, but you don't have to scratch the surface very hard to find the sadism lurking underneath.
