However, the rise of AI means that publishers are seeing a significant decline in traffic from google, and it's only a matter ofd time before a different research model for investigating papers pops up. Question is, who will be running it? Digital Science is in a good position for that. 2/2

The rules regarding content in google scholar are all over the place (abstracts are supposed to be 500+ words but lots of journals don't follow that), but its been clear for a while that there's no real new investment but just keeping the lights on so that no one else can build a competitor. 1/2

"Florida is the first state to take the courageous step toward decluttering itself of excess children, but under the inexpert guidance of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., other states may follow."

The easiest answer to this question is to look at how many people are involved in running it. It hasn't changed much and the only big platform upgrade was when they tried to steal publisher traffic. I have always thought the order to abandon it will come when a couple of staff retire.

Also worth remembering that Farage refuses to name who would leads Reform in Wales or England if they did well because nearly all his candidates are unqualified for public office or are dead (google it).

AI generated content is going to get better and better at mimicking existing artists but it's not going to be creative. Ironically the one group who will suffer the most to their reputation are the musicians whose work they steal. As people ask why their new album isn't that good.

I think her should decry the republican majority leader in the Senate, who helped create Trump's ability to win by not impeaching him after he urged followers to storm the capital. What was his name again?

Have we had the ALL CAPS response yet? Or is Fox News not covering it and hence he won't know what's going on?

There's been a lot of chatter in the tech space about this article, but I think it overlooks one thing: how hard it is to get an interview nowadays. I was reading how someone was boasting that he uses AI to submit 30 job applications in an hour. That's just filling slop into the system.

"The gap between Western perception and Chinese reality is enormous, and it reveals something important: we're worried about a system that barely exists while ignoring the behavioral scoring systems we actually live with." "You already live in social credit."
