The unofficial end of summer is always a bit depressing, and that was exacerbated when I saw how quiet it was in town at 5 PM. It wasn’t empty, but usually on a weekend afternoon/evening there is an electric, frenzied energy that was missing, and the difference was palpable. 😢

Today my neighbor and I installed stanchions and a guide chain to complete what we have dubbed “Paul’s Path,” a direct route between our two properties. We’re set back from the road, and this saves a longer roundabout route. Fun project!
