For the first time in my life I had to report an incident to the police. It’s a weird weird time.

Prima facie, Elon Musk appears to be manipulating X platform for specific political voices he supports (as well as using his own account to amplify the far right & furthest right). In particular the platform dynamic has shifted & is helping Tommy Robinson to be amplified more than Nigel Farage.
The worst thing about the rise of racism on the streets of Britain is that minorities know look at at every person with suspicion wondering if they’re going to be subject to a tirade of hate. It’s not a nice feeling.
The unchecked anonymity of social media has provided a breeding ground for the worst of society to behave this way knowing full well there will be no republican simply because the social media companies refuse to cooperate with police investigations

If you just look at the language here. "Undeterred". This is a judgement of a Court of Appeal. Not a war against a common enemy. It's the small things that are eroding the rule of law in this country. And the Times has become a driving force in it.

The radical right in Britain increasingly claims to represent "Christian values" & "Christian civilisation" - though its leaders rarely go to church or pretend to believe anything. It's especially important that Christian leaders speak out against this, as it's their tradition that's being claimed.
On where UK Bluesky does have a blind spot, I haven’t seen anything on here about the vandalism of Policy Exchange’s office (see below). This kind of stuff should be called out and criticised and I’m very happy to do so.

Outlets reporting Farage’s comments on the case ought to give similar prominence to the Court of Appeal *explicitly stating* that it did not consider the relative human rights of asylum seekers vs citizens in its decision. He’s just being an opportunistic liar here.
Nigel Farage has, inevitably, said that this ruling means “Illegal migrants have more rights than the British people under Starmer”. The court’s short summary makes it explicit in two separate places that didn’t even enter into its reasoning, which centred on criteria for injunction.

Contrary to how this will be reported in some quarters, the Court of Appeal *hasn't* weighed up the human rights of asylum seekers versus local residents. The decision centred on whether it was proportionate to require the hotel to be emptied while a planning dispute was settled.
In fact the judgment does not turn on the ECHR (according to the summary)
