That’s a good point. I’ve worked with many autistic kids over the years. Glad to hear that you have done well…sorry to hear you were bullied. Years ago, the government mainstreamed special need students back into regular classrooms, with less accommodations along with less funding.
Believe me, I know. I’ve been through many. The trainings have become more intense in recent years. Just talking about it makes my heart race. I retired in July of 2023, after Trump’s first stint in office. The MAGA’s had taken over school boards. We were getting threats all the time.
Your comment reminded me of one former kindergarten student that couldn’t talk without moving his thumbs, as if he were playing a game. Sadly, he struggled moving from school to school. That was years ago. He’s an adult now, but we always hope kids like him became successful members of our society.

I get the cuts to education, but little kids coming into kindergarten know less and less each year. You can only have so much growth in a school year if the majority of the class has zero skills to begin with. Many of them talk about the games they play. They have no social skills to make friends.

Do you think this has anything to do with violent, graphic games kids play on Play Stations? Some games are down right scary. Parents don’t protect their small children from being exposed to them. I’ve worked in K-2 classrooms for close to 30 years, and can’t believe how many kids play adult games.
I certainly hope if anyone catches it they visit the White House and spend a day or two setting in on meetings. We wouldn’t want to leave them out!
