Even the Minifig version is just, "Outside of a Nike Store, I don't know who'd own this." It's objectively an interesting set, but I just don't know who would look at this set and say, "Yes, I'd like this in my home." Maybe a sneakerhead and lego enthusiast? I don't know the overlap.

All-in-all they're basically the perfect middle/upper-middle class consumer good. Is having a bunch of designer bags, or fancy boots (like I do), a "Shopping addiction" or simply an affinity for form and function?
I think guns do have certain aesthetic qualities which make them especially appealing. They're pricey, but not unobtainably so. Differing functonalities and form factors mean diversity in appearance. There's the inherent element of danger, which, I'll admit, is kinda hot.

There is (thankfully) an overabundance of caution when it comes to food labeling (especially with heavy metals). So, maybe don’t eat potentially contaminated foods all day every day. But “as a treat” you’re typically fine. If it was even slightly dangerous it’d be pulled from the shelves.
Like, yeah you MIGHT (not even certainly) have 6 parts per billion of lead, but you can actually tank like 2-3 nanograms per day without noticeable harm. Living near an airport likely exposes you more than whatever food you’re eating.
Okay, so the bad news is, yes there might be a little bit of lead in it. But the good news is, the detection levels are typically so astronomically low that, while not “safe” (NO lead is safe) it’s more likely than not such a small amount won’t have long term health effects.
Probably grant more to USAID. Since foreign aid is defense spending.

People trust the USD because they believe that, by and large, bankers will try to balance economic policy for their own benefit. Which MOSTLY aligns with the public good. The 2008 bailouts were what happens when their goals and the public good are NOT aligned.
It’s rather concerning that private interests are in control of our banking sector and fiscal policies. But, the relative independence of some of the worst people you can imagine attempting to maximize value for their own companies does lead to a lot of external trust for the USD.
