Once overheard a couple of folks in an elevator talking about this (generally: the joy of complimenting strangers). One stopped mid-sentence to compliment my lipstick then turned back to her friend, saying: “Sometimes you just gotta adjust each others’ crowns, ya know?” That really stuck with me. 💖

This morning, my first meditation without him. Thankful to @alorelei.com for joining me. We sat together on the couch where I administered Link’s fluids every morning. Grateful to have each other at this time.
Our last meditation together this morning. It was our daily tradition for the last 4 of his 19 years with us. He’d been with us through so much. Taught us so much. I experienced a lot of spiritual growth, sitting with him like this. I will miss him forever. My perfect precious boy. ♥️♥️♥️

My partner and I regularly intentionally misspell “shrimp” tens of different ways and now autocorrect sometimes ‘correctly’ ‘corrects’ “shrimp” to “schmlirmp” or whatever the more common go-to’s are. Also “spinach” -> “sponch”

He also loves hanging out at the filter outflow, like he’s chilling by a waterfall, living his best life.
He eats super fast. It’s funny to think he’s under the impression some asshole is there to take his food so he has to hurry about it.
Past fish have never minded the tank light being on during the day, but Turkish is *very* sensitive to his own reflection and picks fights with himself whenever the light is on, so I keep it off always except for mealtime.
This little guy is new. His name is Turkish! It’s always fun to see their unique personalities once they’ve settled into their new home. They each have favorite places in the tank, places to sleep, different eating styles, different degrees of aggression towards the cat, etc.

Election month
Who else is sick to their stomach most of the time now from election stress? What are you doing to mitigate it? I have no appetite but have to eat because I’m also training for an upcoming taekwondo test, and the sad feeling of not enjoying my food (I generally loooove food) is Adding To It All.
I blocked three more since posting that. It’s madness and maddening.
It’s getting so much worse. I’m blocking at least 5-10 addresses *a day* now. And it’s *all* GOP bullshit.

Re: time-management - Our boy has a pretty good appetite and each batch of food there lasts us around 6-7 days. So, it’s roughly 30-45 minutes of work beginning-to-end for a week’s worth of food.
Happy to share the recipe I use if you like! Of course I’d recommend running it by your kitty’s doctor first before committing. We have had a lot of luck with it though
Ours also refused to eat KD food and we ended up consulting an animal nutritionist for a recipe to make his food at home. It’s easy, he loves it, his labs have been stable, and he’s even gained a few ounces! Been roughly 2-3 years making his food now.

Then post-debate have an annotated list of each cut-off and what fallacy criteria it met or evidence of how it’s a lie
Idea: Make a list of commonly used logical fallacies / fallacious rhetorical techniques. Define them concisely & clearly ahead of the debate, then state: “As soon as any one of these definitions are met, or demonstrable lies are stated, we cut your mic.” Then fucking do it. Reign that shit in.

So good! If you’ve ever had tomato on a grilled cheese, it’s vaguely similar to that but of course more firm and tangy. The kimchi I keep is vegetarian and on the sweeter side, so gouda works. Depending on your kimchi you might want to experiment with different cheeses.
