Interesting. I judged those awards for a few years. You get one star if there’s nothing wrong with it and it tastes ok. Two and three stars, it really has to be very good. Shows the GGBF success of Abbot was no fluke.

The most shocking thing about BrewDog’s announcement today that it is closing ten bars, is that the closures include all the ones that used to be really good, that people used to travel to get to. Aberdeen, Camden, Shepherd’s Bush, Leeds, Shoreditch… these are the bars where BrewDog was built.
