A new scholarship to support undergraduate students who choose to study Welsh as a subject at a university in Wales has launched this week, in memory of an American writer who learned Welsh and settled in the Rhondda
And hopefully travelling to away games where attendances typically range from 30-70, these finals aside.
It does have those things already, but that's because the following is significantly different from that of the men's team. What really interests me is the legacy of this tournament; hopefully some of the first-timers will get the bug and we'll have more travelling for qualifiers/NL games etc.
There are writers out there who can compose engaging, well-informed articles about the Wales WNT, so quite why the Guardian chose to entrust the job to someone who has never been near a Wales women's away game until these finals is a mystery to me.
