Half moon and elephant ear Bettas look very cool and are very slow but they'll also rest on the bottom of the tank. Don't worry about that
If you get a male betta with larger fins it will be slower so the shrimp will have more chances to get away 🤣
I don't know how easy it is to get the dwarf goby. They're not super common. If the amanos have hiding spots they should be fine. Betas can eat shrimp but it's mostly up to the individual beta if it decides it wants to eat them or not 🤷♂️

One thing I will say is don't get guppies or platies. They have live young and are prolific and you will end up with too many of them until they overwhelm your tank. It's bad
I would say to look on Google and see if there's a store that only specializes in fish that isn't a big box store like pet smart/co and go in and talk with them. They will have better quality fish and will be more knowledgeable than random retail employees
If you want to get a singular cool fish to go with your schools - honey gourami, beta, apistogramma, ram are all small enough for 20g but fine being solitary

Bigger is always better but 20gallon is the minimum I would recommend for schooling fish. The bigger the aquarium and the more live plants the less maintenance you need to do (ie water changes). If you're looking for specific cool species recommendations -
10 is small for most fish. My recommendation would be just invertebrates (shrimp and/or snails). If you want a fish you can put a beta in there. Most small fresh water fish are schooling and do best in groups of 6 or more but that tank isn't optimal to support that many fish

there is some tension between reprint cards that people will play vs reprint cards that haven't been reprinted. I think theyve generally did a good job of making appealing things to buy
Oh I missed what you posted, it was never about increasing card availability. people just thought it could be (perhaps wishful thinking). I'd argue making the cards not "profitable" is better rather than worse so you feel less bad about missing individual drops.
