Although BETTER MAN is never quite as awful as CATS... it's very like the mutant offspring of TV's Rock Follies & Planet of the Ape(s) that nobody asked for. Farcically sentimental, but far too daft to laugh at.

I still think the main problem with 'CGI' is that the term itself is misleading. Computers are simply part of the filmmaker's tool-kit. A far more accurate, and honest, term is PRA (photo-real animation).

Saw that, again, recently... still a great drama about the courage and ultimate madness of the lone 'whistleblower'.
Today's re-watch is Singer's SUPERMAN RETURNS... Yes, it's a superior comic-book tribute film, with proper cinematic stunts & FX, compared to Gunn's new #SUPERMAN that looks, feels, and even sounds just like a cheesy TV-movie. Best thing in this year's DC adventure is Mr Terrific (better than TV).
