I had that model as a kid! Used to play with it all the time. Thanks for reminding me of it 🙂

Good article. I understand why they didn’t do it, but it always frustrated me that UMD versions of movies weren’t ever packed in with DVD’s as a “have your movies at home and on the go” kind of a thing. I would have happily paid a little extra for that.

Name a film flop that you wish had done better at the box office. It’s a crime that this didn’t do better in theaters. It was nearly a perfect film as is but the Director’s Cut managed to make it even better. One of a handful of films I can recite line by line from memory.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter goes to pick up Liz for the prom and Michael Keaton (Toomes) answers the door. There was an audible gasp across the whole theater and the guy in front of me yelled out “Oh SHIT!” I couldn’t stop laughing at his reaction. It still makes me laugh now writing this out.

Avengers: Endgame, opening night, packed AMC theater on West 42nd St in Manhattan. The place erupted when Cap grabbed Mjölnir. Then minutes later, “On your left…” started an outburst that grew as each character came back and into full on bedlam when Spider-Man appeared. It was electric.

There was a PlayStation version coming in the 2010’s. PS3 or PS4, most likely PS4 but I can’t remember which right now. I played it at E3 and it was fantastic. Don’t know why it was never released. I have the PR info sheet in a box in the attic, I’ll have to dig it out.

I saw those two together like that in the theaters. One of my best movie experiences. The friend I went with doesn’t remember it and thought I was crazy the last time I brought it up a few years ago

Getting back to the #Atari 5200, the RF Shield is off. Man that was a pain. There’s a lot more going on in here than I expected. Really cool to see it. Now to start futzing with specific chips to see if I can get the controller issues fixed.
