The right’s donors interests are ideologically and financially aligned. The big donors in the Democratic Party aren’t funding socialists—or even left populists. They don’t want to build infrastructure that moves the party left ideologically. There is no big money for left-wing projects.

We can rebuild a different system, we move economy, we need unity, nonprofit organizations, journalist, independent media outlets if we want to make a change. Past 6 months have proven that going I different paths will not work. We use the same strategy Oligarch’s used to hacked the government.

That’s the crux. We need to get the money back. We need to cut off the leeches. We need private industry like Amazon to just be a civil service. We just have to collectively choose it, but it’s like trying to get everyone at a green light to take their foot off the brake at the same time.

I hope that’s going to change w the extreme damage being done now. But it does make sense that wealth is almost always used to support its owners’ interests. We need a Trojan horse candidate like FDR again.

Work on electing people who will work on getting Citizens United overturned and enacting laws that will prosecute corporations and their leaders for crimes when people are harmed.

Only a labor movement can compete. And the Dems let it die.

Well, good news? 40% of Americans can't afford a $400 emergency. I see no reason to think the economic outlook will improve, or wages will raise enough to keep pace with inflation; so a labor movement or spontaneous grassroot organization is often the response to those conditions.

"A grassroots movement" that is not a militant labor movement won't cut it.

Honestly, until we separate ourselves from AIPAC; which is often a candidates largest donor by factors on both sides of the aisle, and that is one of the more mild forms of influence that foreign entity exerts on our country. It puts foreign interests in front of constituents and causes untold harm.

I just saw Jamaal Bowman on something, but his story of AIPAC reaching out before he even hit the general election matches what dingus Thomas Massey said as well. If someone doesn't have the moral clarity to condemn genocide as a Rep, chances are their largest donor says no.

Worded it wrong. If the candidate doesn't support aipacs genocide, they put $$$$$$$, and lots of it, against that candidate. If apac and the dnccorporatewhores endorse them.....GUARANTEED NOT TO GET MY VOTE.

We need to get the money OUT of the campaign process. No dark money, PACs, Corporate, or Union money. 3k a year from individual people. Howard Dean ran on this and the media destroyed him.
