I had to turn of the "wakefulness" alerts on my car as they went off after 15 minutes of driving if I put on sunglasses. The irony of a visible alert, which distracts you from the road, to tell you to pay attention to the road is not lost on me.

Lots of the safety tech doesn’t work in practice - and makes cars less safe. Like lane departure systems that get confused and actually drive you off the road!
