I highly doubt it has a GPS tracker in it. GPS data is useless unless you also have a cell or other internet connection signal to access that data. That would require too much battery power.

Politicians have for decades failed to understand how GPS works and that's why they periodically spend truly stupid amounts of money on studies of GPS for road pricing or tracking whatever is the moral panic of the day (was pedophiles, now is refugees).
