That figure doesn’t really reflect Tesla’s current position. It’s certainly been a money maker for those holding stock long. The company? Less so. If Musk continues his attacks on Trump he’ll get his governmental assistance pulled. If that happens Tesla will sink like a stone.

Musk’s early insistence that lidar was unnecessary will likely doom the effort. Waymo uses fundamentally different and superior tech; retrofitting it to Teslas is impractical even if Musk stops being a pig-headed ignoramus. Buh bye, sky-high P/E!
