Oh we had McClintock for awhile too. Blergh. La Malfa sucks but he actually does his job. Kiley doesn’t. The thing with me is that the fear of representing urban interests is fair. But most of the power to address that will be at the state level, which these maps don’t touch.

In a fair system, common interests (not culture war stuff, but truly common issues like infrastructure and environment) should be a huge factor in determining districts. In my opinion.

I agree with you. It’s one reason I was so irked to be shoved into Kiley’s district. We have more in common with La Malfa in terms of environment, economy, and challenges.
