Talk to your vet about gabapenton. It al.s down the fight or flight response.

My pup had to take that after surgery once and it gave him terrible diarrhea. But I don’t think his fear of storms is that severe. Thanks for sharing that info, though!
Do they have a canine equivalent of feliway?
I have sedation for my dog but when the storms come in so fast it won’t work in time for him. I can’t put a thunder blanket on him either because he doesn’t like to have anything on. The vet told me mixed breed labs are very sensitive to noise, and that is my dog.🐾🐾
That's rough. Poor little guy. My cat is terrified of so many things, but especially fireworks and thunder and lightning.
Yes it is rough for animals. I had a cat years ago and the first clap of thunder he went and hid.
That hurts my heart. 💔 Mine doesn’t get quite that scared. He just sticks to me like Velcro.
