I don't understand what you expect from Canada? We might be in the same hole ourselves by this October at the latest, unless people smarten up. The polls indicate a conservative majority government, and that is worse case scenario.

I expect Canada to take the threat of invasion very seriously. (Our own elections won't matter much if the US decides to just come here and take over, which - let's not kid ourselves - would be a walk in the park.)

I think that's all bluster from the orange goon. I think that he just has a hate on for JT because he makes his wife wet. I highly doubt that they would want to open that can of worms, it wouldn't be pretty. It wouldn't just be Canada in the fight either. They would further isolate themselves too.

NATO may fall apart (Putin's goal all along), leaving Canada to fend for itself. He doesn't care about JT, he wants our arctic shipping lanes and our natural resources.

We are a commonwealth country at the least, those in the commonwealth would have out back. I actually doubt that even if NATO were dissolved, other countries would pitch in to defend our soil. They wouldn't just roll in here and take over, I would guarantee that.

Good. The last time that I looked, it was a landslide for the Cons with a majority government.

Maybe they see what’s going on in the US and decided conservatism is not the way to go.

Click on the post above my last one, I linked two polls in there and nothing has changed since I looked last, I don't know what people are talking about, or where they are getting their info, I asked and nobody has answered yet. They still show a landslide win for the Cons for a majority government.

The polls have changed drastically in the past week and there is only a 3.4 margin and hopefully if Carney becomes leader they will change even more for the better

That's good news. I do think Carney could swing people away from the nonsense of the PCs. This is what I was hoping for, that the election would be far enough off for people up here to see the chaos going on south of the border and get a wake up call. The Cons are bad news, especially with PP

Carney is a fiscal conservative who also believes in climate change and taking care of people , the perfect mix to appeal to a wide range of people.
