Plaintiff in this one did nearly ten years in prison for attempted murder and then was exonerated. This is his suit for damages against the detectives and the county.

They really, really need to fix the automatic stay for appeals of qualified immunity decisions. "I had no idea I couldn't coerce a witness to sign a false statement?" Really? Either get rid of the stay or start imposing sanctions for meritless Q.I. motions.
