This is why the GOP is so blasphemous. The text of the Bible, attributed to Jesus (and apostles tbh) is pretty straightforward as a how-to manual for this situation. They are just blowing smoke up our asses. The atheists are actually the better Christians.

Sorry, but that’s not what blasphemy is. They’re terrible people. But they’re still Christians. Blasphemy is saying or doing something disrespectful towards god. For example, saying god has a limp dick.
You don’t think it’s blasphemous to cloak yourself in God’s name and preach false doctrine? In other words to make God look like an asshole? We’re gonna have to disagree on terms here for sure.
God is an asshole, so they’re just following in his footsteps.
To clarify, blasphemy is a very specific, intentional thing; and for the record, slave owners used the same book to justify slavery- because god explicitly says it’s okay. You might view their acts as somehow sacrilegious, but god probably thinks they’re not going far enough.
We only know of God through a text. Everything else is cultural theory.
