It's now a week since @dalfaculty.bsky.social members were locked out by Dal's board. No access to our physical & virtual workspaces. My students & TAs are left stressed about what will happen next week & I am so angry for them. Do better @dalhousie.bsky.social Get back to the table & #KeepDalStrong
This dispute is my 5th. The usual "tension" feels different, not in the way I would have expected. Experience should ease my mind, but not this time. There's a culture shift, a tipping point, with internal (Dal) & external admins (province). "We're not going to build together. We'll control alone."

I feel so bad for my students. They have received no communication. Will they just show up for class on Tuesday and find an empty room? Even the auto-reply on my email has been disabled.
I was affected by the 2001 lockout/strike and I can say, stress is definitely something that felt. The fact that these sorts of tactics are still being employed is rediculous.
