Wow this is going to blow your mind. We've done capitalism for the last 200 years, you can actually see countless and well documented examples of how it completely fails society and, every single time, results in consolidated wealth for the very few and poverty for everyone else.
That's not true. You can have a capitalist country with some socialist elements to combat poverty. What really failed societies is communism, a failed ideology that promoted controlled economy and enabled authoritarians to consolidate power.
I thought you were addressing me. Capitalism is a new thing as of 1854. The USA is in no way based upon 'Capitalism'. We had 'slavery'. When we were getting rid of slavery, they needed to define what could and could not be owned. Enter: "CAPITALISM"
