To be fair Scotland and Wales are not regions.. they be countries, hence stronger connection..

It's part of the 'Britification' of England. They could ask English folks how strongly attached they feel to England, but the narrative goes that England and Britain are synonymous, where Scotland and Britain, and Wales and Britain, are not. Maybe the English ought to get more upset about this
