There are strong elements of Russian cosmism and the many Christian elements in Tolkien's work on Middle-Earth. Oddly enough this maps surprisingly well on the Traditionalist agenda which Alexandr Dugin morphed into the "Russian World" revival of faux-Christianity centered around Moscow. 😐
