Only someone unfamiliar would assert that. All US media is "owned" but it's only in the last 30 years that "Editorial Independence" has been totally abandoned. Aljazeera produces first class journalism. 70% or more of US media is Pravda for the far right GOP. Press TV in Iran has more objectivity.
