Sure, but some people (not all or only leftists) use arguments for nonparticipation that assume perfection is possible, and that it is morally blameless to try for it. It is in fact a choice with a cost. I'm not even saying it's always wrong, but it's a choice.

Sorry, I'm confused. If nothing is perfect, then everything has flaws. No person or system is ethically perfect, so they all contain evil. This just seems like inescapable logic. What am I missing?
