5 years ago today my girlfriend and I went to Red Rocks to see 20 members of the Colorado Symphony perform for 150 people during COVID. No amplification and a single light. It was one of the most surreal and beautiful experiences of my life.

COVID was such a weird time. I was so scared and mad that people were dying, but also hopeful that the world had been reminded to be alive, to slow down, to go outside, to be a community. Nope. 80 million people decided to be selfish cunts and here we are.

I've been to Red Rocks twice and both were for Peter Gabriel concerts and it was magnificent (even had one of the volunteers tell me the best place to stand for acoustics). I can imagine how amazingly intimate and cool that must have been.
