Ongoing challenge of the past 100 years is how people react to immigration in the UK. 3 camps roughly: A. Racists + xenophobes B. People who aren't really A. but worry about scant resources being shared by more people C. People who welcome immigrants (+ more public services) Austerity unites 1 + 2

Me too. But there are a lot of people in B, far more than in A, and they have swallowed the RW bullshit narrative that immigrants are the reason Britain is shit, not Austerity (or Brexit). Sadly we seem to lack politicians and media willing to really explain all that.
