idk, just looks like they were under the bar with dramatic protest for some years but their new direction has put them over because the potential risks are too high This is the explanatory context note for the Palestinian Action, fwiw www.legislation.gov.uk/ukdsi/2025/9...

s/s from Palestine Action section of Explanatory Memorandum To The Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) (Amendment) Order 2025 5.2 Palestine Action is a pro-Palestinian group with the stated aim to support Palestinian sovereignty by using direct criminal action tactics to halt the sale and export of military equipment to Israel. Since its inception in 2020, Palestine Action has orchestrated a nationwide campaign of direct criminal action against businesses and institutions, including key national infrastructure and defence firms that provide services and supplies to support Ukraine, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), 5.4 Palestine Action prepares for terrorism. The organisation has provided practical advice to assist its members with conducting attacks that have resulted in serious damage to property at targets across the UK to further its cause. In late 2023, Palestine Action released the 5.6 Since 2020, Palestine Action's campaign has resulted in hundreds of millions of pounds worth of criminal damage and lost revenue. Members of Palestine Action have 2 CO/EM/2024.1 been charged with serious offences for activity carried out during attacks, including offences involving violence and weapons. Palestine Action has a footprint in all 45 policing regions in the UK. 5.8 Proscription will enable law enforcement to effectively disrupt Palestine Action. It will help undermine the convert methods that Palestine Action uses and help reduce the risk that Palestine Action radicalises people wishing to demonstrate legitimate support for the Palestinian cause into becoming members or supporters of the organisation. 4. To be honest, this all feels like an obvious and entirely predictable response to the clampdown on protests over the past few years. Protest has been criminalised, so now protestors act like criminals.

Who exactly has Palestinian Action ‘terrorised’? The RAF? Does the RAF feel ‘terrorised’ by red paint? Because if they do what practical use are they to the UK?

FWIW I'd say successfully carrying out non-violent crimes against such a base is actually being a 'useful nuisance'. It indicates weaknesses that say, the Russian GRU might exploit. See also the way the Prison Service has publicised SAS troops being unable to escape high-security prisons for PR.

I don't think it's just this one incident, seems to be the new direction they've taken over the past year has crossed a line that they were under with the previous dramatic protest style www.theguardian.com/uk-news/arti...

I frankly don’t give a flying f*ck whether Palestinian Action has ‘crossed a line’ they’re a million miles from committing the heinous terrorist crimes the IDF have committed. Yet this government not only hasn’t proscribed the IDF a ‘terrorist’ group they’re arming them to carry out terrorist acts!

Thanks. I notice it claims "violence" and "weapons". By "violence", does it mean "sprays paint" and by weapons does it mean "spray can"? This is where we have trust issues. It's all too easy to make claims. I want to see specific and verifiable evidence-based claims. Not vague rhetoric.

Because there's a huge difference between a small group "armed" with red paint and bolt cutters vs the same group armed with actual weapons. Right now, we see the former, and yet hear claims that imply the latter.
