Yup. Most of them don't bother to read, or vet. They just look at a pic and think they'll hit on that. I catch a lot of them when vetting by checking their replies to others. I need to disable my DMs because I don't talk about private stuff anyhow. It can all be said on my page.

I'm a guy and I can't stand it when "someone" follows me and right away sends a DM. I look at the profile and figure they are 99% likely to be a bot or scammer. I just block right away. Problem solved (for this incidence ... next!)

"She" sent photos from her service, told me this, that and the other. I ran the conversation string through ChatGPT

It came back with a high likelihood that it was a was a bot account. I reported it, then replied that I knew this was a scam. The account was deleted within 10 minutes. I got on Substack and Bluesky after killing my FB and IG accounts, never was on TwiXter. Nowhere is safe or legit anymore.

Most of those 'guys' are not real and it's going to stop. Over half the DMs I get from strangers are without doubt from bot farms and trolls so don't waste your time. Just 'block' and 'report' as a matter of course. You are not talking people, you are reacting to scammers.
