Every single bigot that tried to wipe out the trans community died first.

It's never a matter of "if", but of "when". They couldn't demonize Black people forever. They couldn't demonize independent women forever. They couldn't demonize gays and lesbians forever. They can't demonize trans people forever.

They won't win because Emperors and Kings, dictators and tyrants have tried and failed to suppress us for millennia. You can knock us down, but we get up again.

I care about trans people who exist right now. If future trans people find success and we don't, then we still lost. I want us to win right now. If they end medical transition and our public existence for this generation, that is a crushing loss. I don't care about the future if we lose the present.

It's possible to lose a battle and still win the war. Certainly isn't much solace for the soldiers lost in the process, but it is some measure of solace.

Because they never do. Because trans people will always exist and terfs will die out. Because most people in society are either unbothered by, or actively supportive of, trans people. Because we won't let them.
