The Vanderbilt Records breach was in late 2022. The patients were not made aware until Spring of 2023. The AG wrongly claimed he had authority to see billing issues and as claimed he had a right to entire history.

That was Government overreach and a direct violation of an individuals right to life liberty and pursuit of happiness. Garland had no right to exert such pressure or ruling.

The 2025 law appears to address both Vanderbilt’s and the AG’s mishandling, breach of Hippa law. In 2023 Civil suits were filed regarding the Vanderbilt breach and were dropped or were settled with no public comment.

I'm not sure that Is a good thing. Health Corporations that violate patient privacy/confidentiality should have their licences revoked and charges brought. No deals!
