It's a deranged false dichotomy to say that because incentives might be needed to get people to avail themselves of the help provided that therefore the answer is to literally bulldoze all their remaining possessions without even allowing them a chance to go grab the things they want to keep.
You forget that in 2008 the GOP+ultra, ultra left started the idea that we cannot force drug addicts, the mentally ill to live in housing. If they want to live in tents in our parks they can. Trump has recently said he would open our parks up for homeless encampments.
Oh the way you say "mentally ill" like it's a crime rather than a health problem is a convenient segue into how bad Newsom is for disabled people in general, including the ones who have homes. Under his watch the state government has ejected almost half the employees who had ADA accommodations.
