I mean based on my mom (who might be closeted tbh) it's considered kind of normal for women- particularly in management or executive positions- to secretly want to have been born men because they would have had an easier time with it. And a lot of the older ones sure internalized that.

yeah, and tbh I think for people like Musk, male superiority is so assumed that "why would a woman prefer to be a man" doesn't seem like a real/valid question, while the perversity of "a man preferring to be a woman" is shocking and deserves inquiry

They always just land on "oh it must be a sex thing" which is unfortunate because shitty men love a pervert: you get all the credit for being a societally-rewarded protector type to bash them, but without the risk of them hitting back
