Incredible. Federal prosecutors are seeing many cases of people accused of assaulting Border Patrol agents being turned down by grand juries! Los Angeles federal prosecutors are privately saying it’s because CBP agents are just “arresting first and asking questions later.”
Those CBP agents should be prosecuted for kidnapping.

I feel like if you're identifying the speaker as "the prosecutor," you are not affording them anonymity. Also I wish more grand juries had this sort of cognizance about protest arrests generally because this is not just a CBP/ICE problem
The fact that federal grand juries serve for extended periods isn’t going to help. By the third or fourth bogus charge they’re bound to catch on.
At least the federal government is getting $220M from Columbia University that it can use to pay legal settlements.
And hopefully jury nullification will happen to any that make it to trial.

This seems like a legal avenue to prosecute those agents. It would be valuable for the judges involved to make a public statement about this
I think judges have limited involvement in grand jury proceedings. If the US Attorney (appointed by Trump) is going to pursue charges against the agents, it is doubtful anything will happen to them from that avenue. Cases should be brought by those whose rights are being violated.
Yeah I'm thinking the action will be civil. People on the ground will be safer if they can refer to clear warning from a relevant official that personal prosecution of ICE agents is likely if they don't follow due process. Maybe some legally backed text for warning ICE agents of their labilities

This is what's occurred to me... Just as during the Jim Crow south, only in reverse, the Regime can arrest and charge anyone they want, but a Jury can acquit for any or no reason.
